For the last 20 years; 16 years in Hong Kong and 4 years in Singapore, I have been providing care and support for individuals and families through counselling, psychotherapy and psychoeducation. Since returning to Singapore in 2017, I have been serving full time as a Faculty Member with the National University of Singapore. I lecture on both the undergraduate and post-graduate modules on topics such as children and youth mental health issues, clinical skills such as play and sandplay therapy, and trauma work. I was on staff and served as an Adjunct Faculty Member with the University of Hong Kong and Hong Kong Shue Yan University.

Given my extensive clinical and academic experiences, I also provide case consultation and training to practicing mental health professionals on working with children, young persons and families.

I graduated from The University of Hong Kong with a PhD in Social Work. I also attained my Master degree in Child and Adolescent Health from University of Sydney. My specialized professional training is in Child and Adolescent, Play Therapy, Sandplay Therapy, Sensori-Motor Art Therapy, Somatic Experiencing™, Analytical Psychology, Touch Skills and Biodynamic Cranial Sacral Therapy.

How May I Help You?

Play, joy, and spontaneity are rooted in our hearts. It heals the body, mind and spirit.

Play
Therapy

An evidence based psychotherapeutic approach that builds on the preferred communicative and learning processes of children.

Sandplay
Therapy

Sandplay Therapy is often used with children, but it can be applied to adults and teens as well. While sand tray therapy may be applied in couples and group settings, sandplay therapy is meant for individuals.

Somatic Experiencing

SE facilitates the completion of self-protective motor responses and the release of thwarted survival energy bound in the body, thus addressing the root cause of trauma symptoms. This is approached by gently guiding clients to develop increasing tolerance for difficult bodily sensations and suppressed emotions.
